Large industrial castings require more than large equipment. They require controlled metallurgy, stable production processes, heat treatment, machining, and inspection working together.
STRUMEX operates a professional casting facility covering approximately 40,000 square meters, supporting castings from approximately 100 kg to 20 tons per piece.
Annual production capacity reaches up to 15,000 tons of castings per year.
Integrated Steelmaking
The facility combines Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking with AOD refining capability.
EAF production provides flexibility in alloy composition and batch production, while AOD refining helps control chemical composition and steel cleanliness.
These processes provide the metallurgical foundation required for heavy-duty industrial castings.
Heat Treatment Capability
Heat treatment plays a critical role in achieving the required balance of hardness, toughness, wear resistance, and structural stability.
Depending on material and application requirements, components can undergo controlled heat-treatment processes before final machining and inspection.
CNC Machining
Large castings often require precision machining before installation.
STRUMEX provides CNC machining for critical features such as:
- Mounting surfaces
- Bores
- Pin holes
- Sealing surfaces
- Other precision interfaces
Integrating casting, heat treatment, and machining helps improve dimensional consistency and production control.
Serving Heavy Industrial Applications
STRUMEX castings are used across a range of industries, including:
- Mining
- Metal recycling
- Dredging
- Bridge engineering
- Metallurgy
- Heavy industrial equipment
The combination of large casting capacity, metallurgical control, heat treatment, and CNC machining allows the facility to support both recurring production and custom heavy-component projects.
