Structure must support the load path

The STRUMEX bucket assembly integrates a precision-cast bucket lip, high-strength structural side and back plates, and the operational assembly structures into one unit. High-grade wear-resistant plate protects the main body, while the lip and GET system receive the highest impact and abrasive loads.

The cast lip defines the front structure

Integrated cast-lip construction eliminates welded seams across the primary lip body and provides a rigid foundation for adaptors and teeth. STRUMEX catalogue specifications cover cast-lip weights from 3,000 to 15,000 kg per piece, hardness of 260–300 BHN and impact values of 70–90 J KV at -40°C. Integral wear inserts can be applied where the duty requires additional protection.

Interfaces must remain precise

After casting and heat treatment, CNC machining finishes critical mating surfaces, mounting bores, pin holes, sealing faces and tooth-adaptor seats to drawing requirements. Maintaining these dimensions supports fitment, load transfer and serviceability throughout the bucket system.

Productivity depends on verified consistency

Material selection and geometry must be supported by repeatable production. STRUMEX combines controlled steelmaking, AOD refining, heat treatment, machining and final inspection.
