MANUFACTURING PROCESS
AOD Refining
After primary melting in the EAF, molten steel is transferred to the Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) furnace for secondary metallurgical refining. Argon and oxygen are injected to precisely reduce carbon content, remove sulfur and phosphorus impurities, and achieve tight chemical specifications. AOD refining delivers ultra-clean steel with superior mechanical properties, essential for high-performance mining components.
ProcessRemoval of C, S, N, O, H, and non-metallic inclusions
QualityS < 0.005%; N < 0.002% (20ppm); O < 0.002% (20ppm); H < 0.0001% (1ppm)
Key BenefitHigh cleanliness, tight chemistry
